Yvonne Varnum Milton

Yvonne Varnum Milton, age 87, passed away peacefully in Miramar Beach, FL on Friday, May 30, 2025.  Born on January 10, 1938, in Panama City, FL, Yvonne was a beacon of joy and generosity to all who knew her.

An active and dedicated member of Saint Luke's Episcopal Church, Yvonne's faith was a cornerstone of her life, one of which she exhibited through acts of kindness and community engagement. Yvonne loved to travel, enjoyed shopping adventures, reading books, and was a whiz at sudoku puzzles. Above all, her love for her family was evident.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Hall “Billy” Milton, III; parents, Jessie and Moses Varnum; son, William Hall "Hal" Milton, IV; two brothers, Ira Varnum and Elmer Varnum and son in- law, John D. Simpson. 

Yvonne is survived by her son, Jeff Milton; daughters, Elizabeth M. Simpson, Valerie M. Ditthardt and husband, Brian, daughter in-law, Cyndi Milton; grandchildren, Ryan Taylor Ditthardt, Kathryn E. Simpson, Brittany Jones and Gabrielle N. Simpson. Survivors also include her great-grandchildren, Briley Belle Jones, Rhodes Ditthardt as well as her special, best friend Alma Milton, who shared in Yvonne's zest for life.

Graveside funeral services will be 10 A.M., Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church Cemetery with The Reverend Bob Ott officiating. After the service, the family will have a time of visitation at the Parrish Hall at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church. 

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Lambe Family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
