Wilma Jean (Mills) Jarmon

Wilma Jean Jarmon age 81 of Marianna passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at her home. She is a native of Marianna born on February 9, 1939 to Howard and Clessie Mills. Wilma was a member of the Damascus Free Will Baptist Church. She retired from the State of Florida after working as an LPN and shift supervisor for many years. In her younger years, Wilma loved going to the beach. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, but most of all she loved babysitting her great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Jarmon, and one brother Dennis Mills.

Wilma is survived by her two sons Claude Jarmon and wife Nancy of Marianna, James M. Jarmon and wife Marilyn of Marianna, brother Donald Mills and wife Hilda of Marianna, sisters Thelma Carlton and husband Junior of Marianna, Merle Ladnier of Mobile, AL, and Janice O’Neal of Mississippi. She is also survived by four grandchildren Jeremy Jarmon, Jason Jarmon, Megan Burnett, Jamie Griffin, and 5 great grandchildren.

Services for Wilma will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 6, 2020 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Salem Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of service.
