William "Bill" Edwin Allard

William “Bill” Edwin Allard age 71 of Alford, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019 in Jackson Hospital.  Bill was born on January 27, 1948 in Portland, Oregon. He graduated David Douglas High School in 1966 and attended Linn-Benton Community College in Oregon. Bill was enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his service.  Bill was an active person who loved life and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alford, Florida.

Bill is preceded in death by his father Perry Milton Allard.

He is survived by his mother Rose Marie Allard of Happy Valley, OR, his loving wife Lola Allard of Alford, son Cameron Allard and wife Trisha of Pasadena, TX, step children Ben Jolley and wife Shawna of Murfreesboro, TN, and Amanda Hawk and husband Brad of Murfreesboro, TN, sister Penny Parsons of Happy Valley, OR,  brother Lance Allard and wife Mary of Happy Valley, OR, 13 grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service for Bill will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 16, 2019 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Johnson officiating.

Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will have a private entombment at the Tallahassee National Cemetery at a later time.
