William Douglas Taylor

William Douglas Taylor, age 57, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at HCA Florida Capital Hospital.

Affectionately known as Bill, he was a tender hearted and generous man. Born October 8, 1965 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1985. Soon after, Bill moved to Tallahassee, FL where he worked various jobs. He had a deep passion for music and spent much time as a song writer, aspiring to be a professional artist one day. He was a member of Capital Heights Baptist Church as well as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bill was an avid Star Trek fan and loved going to Disney. He also loved making models from scratch and helping others in need.

He was preceded in death by his father, William E. Taylor; grandparents. James Carl and Texie Daniel; uncle, Dean Daniel and aunt, Rebecca Woodacre and husband, Jimmy.

Bill is survived by his mother, Virginia Christenson of Marianna, FL; sister, Carla Taylor of Monticello, FL; aunt, Rhonda Nell Daniel; five cousins, Elizabeth Frisbe and husband, Kenny, Craig Langerud and wife, Becky, Rhonda Lynn Williams and husband, Greg, Brent Lee Daniel and wife, Michelle, as well as Summer Lynn Bailey.

A memorial service will be Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. EST at Capital Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Derrick Burris officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation following the service.
