Wayne H. Bamberg, age 68, of Greenwood, FL, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Jackson Hospital. Wayne was a native of Jackson County born on March 29, 1953 to the late Emerson and Lillian Bamberg.
He was a proud Veteran serving in the United States Army for 10 years. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, and riding horses. He enjoyed life, never meeting a stranger and always ready to talk. He was always a welcomed customer through the Hardees line. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Barbara Bamberg of Greenwood, FL; son, Andreas Bamberg (Nicole) of Woodville, FL; four daughters, Angela Herndon (Todd) of Crawfordville, FL, Charity Helms (Rodney) Cottonwood, AL, Kyla Riley (Jereomy) of Greenwood, FL , and Nikki Baxley (JoJo) of Greenwood, FL; brother, Paul Edward Bamberg of Grand Ridge, FL; sister-in-law, Tammy Whitten of Greenwood, FL; two brother-in-laws, Timothy Davis and David Davis both of Greenwood; twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Wayne will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 17, 2021 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Wright officiating. Interment will be private following the service with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
