Walter Mark Hardy

Walter Mark Hardy, age 78, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025 at his residence. 

Walter was born on December 25, 1946 in Texas to the late Grace Earline and Mark Newton Hardy. Walter enlisted in the United States Navy as a young man and served honorably for four years. After serving his country, Walter began a career with Delta Airlines and worked in the boiler room until retirement in 1992. In his free time, Walter loved watching the Atlanta Braves, spending time at the beach, listening to Elvis Presley and telling stories about trips with his deceased wife, Cheryl, whom he missed dearly. 

Walter is survived by his beloved granddaughter, Samantha “Sam” Leigh Miller of Marianna, FL; great granddaughter, Isabella Miller; great grandson, Jasper Miller as well as many beloved brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

A memorial service will be 2 P.M., Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
