Shirley Mae (Prater) Barnes

Shirley Mae Barnes age 77 of Marianna, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Marianna Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Viola, Tennessee on August 10, 1942 to the late Quince and Sussie Pearl Youngblood and spent most of her life in McMinnville, Tennessee.

Shirley enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching television, and spending time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jessie Dean Barnes, and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter Sussie Durham (Eric); one brother, Lee Prater; two grandchildren, Matthew Durham (Shelby) and Benjamin Durham; one great-grandson, Bowen Durham.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in the Smyrna Church of Christ Cemetery in McMinnville, Tennessee with Pastor Eric Durham officiating. 

Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
