Sandra Ann Sticha

Sandra Ann Sticha, age 71, passed away on December 26, 2023 at her home in Marianna, FL. Sandy was born on September 8, 1952 in New Prague, Minnesota to Marvin and Irene (Spoor) Jakes. 

Sandy graduated in 1970 from Montgomery, MN and worked many years in group homes, always helping others in need. Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved canoeing, fishing and playing cards.  Sandy had a green thumb and loved gardening and having a home full of beautiful plants. Sandy had lived in Florida and before that she called Faribault, MN and Montgomery, MN home. 

Sandy is survived by her two children, Daniel Jakes (Roni) of Marianna, FL, Jill Sticha (Katie Bastyr) of Minnesota; four grandchildren, Cora, Jeremiah, Danielle and Joshua as well as nine great grandchildren. Survivors also include her four brothers, Marvin Jakes (Mary) of Montgomery, MN, David Jakes (Cindy) of Montgomery, MN, Steve Jakes of North Dakota, and Ken Jakes of Minnesota; along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and cousins. 

A private family service will be held at a later date with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
