Ronald E. Clark, age 61, of Grand Ridge, FL, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital in Panama City, FL.
Ronald was born January 7, 1960 in Marianna, FL to Mack and Merita. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and a 1978 graduate of Grand Ridge High School. He was an avid Grand Ridge Indian fan and supporter. Ronald worked for Ducky Johnson and gained over 25 years of experience under his supervision. Ronald and Ducky had a special relationship and cherished their friendship and time together. With the knowledge he gained from Ducky, Ronald established his company, Solid Rock Foundations, LLC, and served Jackson County and surrounding areas for over 20 years. Ronald was well known and sought after for his foundations and pole barns. He was able to bless many churches in the area and people in need with the talents he had.
Ronald often attended Sneads Assembly of God Church and dearly loved his pastor. He had a heart for supporting missions by giving his time and talents when possible. Ronald was a proud “Poppy” to his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. In his free time, Ronald enjoyed spending time with his family, going on family trips to the mountains, and working. He will be greatly missed.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Mack Clark; maternal grandparents, Hilton and Esther Lee Durden; paternal grandparents, Amos and Allie Lee Clark; nephew, Craig Randall Earnest; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rev. Jerome and Marcille Lewis.
He is survived by his loving wife, Regina Clark; children, Rachel Brock and husband, Travis of Vernon, FL, Aubra Clark and wife, Kaleigh, and River Clark all of Grand Ridge; bonus children, Kelsey Butler of Westville, FL, and Hunter Lowe of Bonifay, FL; mother, Merita Stanley and husband, John of Greenwood, FL; siblings, Denecier Earnest and husband, Randy of Malone, twin brother-Donald Clark, Darrell Clark and wife, Pam all of Grand Ridge; five grandchildren, Julia, Emelia, and Abel Jax Brock, Kaybrey and John Luke Clark; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services for Ronald will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverends Scott Morris, Juno Douglas, and John Lawrence officiating. Ronald will be laid to rest in Shady Grove Cemetery next to his “Big Daddy”, Hilton Durden. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home will be directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 1 p.m. until service time at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
