Robert Bobby Hastings

Robert Allen “Bobby” Hastings, Sr., age 48, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Capitol Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, FL. His loving wife, Dana by his side; sister, Donna; brother in-law, Martin; sons, Robert and Dustin; and daughter in-law, Amy via video chat due to covid restrictions. Bobby didn’t like to be alone in life, so we made sure he wasn’t alone when he took his last breath on this earth.

Bobby loved being outside, camping, fishing, and going to the beach. He and his son, Dustin would be outside everyday either mowing grass, working on the lawn mower, working on a car, especially mustangs. He loved family cookouts and was the best cook! Bobby is dearly loved by his family and he loved us equally in return. Heaven gained another angel, go fly high Bobby and sit on the river with Pop.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Hastings; and brother, Lynn Wood.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dana Hastings; mother, Shirley Hastings; sons, Dustin Hastings and wife, Amy of Marianna, FL, Robert Hastings of Marianna, FL, Aaron Hastings and wife, Joani of Compass Lake, FL; granddaughters, Kayleigh Hastings and Shelby Hastings; sisters, Donna Hornberger of Carterville’s, GA, Kathy Dempsey of Greensboro, FL, and Judy Acree; brothers, Gary Wood, Bill wells, Kevin Andrews and Ricky Hastings; nieces, Kimberly Popham, Kendra Thomas, Jennifer Bradley, Sue Wood, and Boddy Jean; nephews, Karson Hornberger, Shawn Bradley, Ben Acree, and Jeramiah Acree.

Funeral services for Bobby will be 10 A.M. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Marianna Chapel with Pastor Michael Murray officiating. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from 9 A.M. until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
