Richard “Ric” LaRon Rowley, age 60, of Cottondale, FL unexpectedly passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 at his residence.
Ric was a beloved son, husband, father, and grandpa and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Known for his infectious laughter and magnetic personality, he had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Whether it was through his quick wit, his knack for storytelling, or his genuine interest in others, he could make friends with ease and loved to flirt with little old ladies.
An avid gamer and enthusiast of recreational activities, Ric also had a passion for movies and music, and he delighted in challenging loved ones with trivia questions.
Though at times he could be stubborn, those who knew him best understood that beneath his occasional prickliness lay a heart of gold. His love knew no bounds, and his presence brought warmth and laughter to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He leaves behind a legacy of laughter and cherished memories that will continue to inspire all who were touched by his remarkable presence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Rowley and Ann Pippin; step father, Ronnie Bush; one sister, Sherri Bush; and lifelong best friends, Rusty Rogers and Glenn Basford.
Ric is survived by his wife of nine years, Delilah Rowley; daughter, Amberliegh Miles and husband, Jeremy of Milton, FL; son, James Johnson of Crawfordville, FL; step father, James Pippin; step mother, Reba Bush; brothers, Chris Bush and wife, Karen of Cottondale, FL, Butchie Burrell and wife, Amy of Graceville, FL, Brock Burrell and wife, Michelle of Graceville, FL; sister, Tracey Smith and husband, John of Graceville, FL as well as his beloved grandchildren, Annabelle Miles, Emilia Miles, Harrison Miles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 9 A.M. until the Celebration of Life service at 10 A.M., on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
