Reverend Rolan Bamberg

Reverend Rolan D. Bamberg, age 83, of Sneads, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Southeast Health.

Rolan was born in Grand Ridge, FL on February 27, 1938 to the late Perry and Clara Bamberg. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County where he was raised working on the family farm. He met the love of his life, Emmalie at a young age and were married for 63 loving and dedicated years. Rolan enjoyed farming, but later mastered the trade of fixing sewing machines. He worked for the Russell Sewing Machine Factory and Warner Brothers where he was known to be able to fix any sewing machine. 

Rolan’s heart was in ministry where he served the Lord with 59 years of service. He most recently was the lead Pastor at Cypress Community Church for eight years but also Pastored at New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church in Moultrie, GA for 16 years prior. 

In Rolan’s free time, he loved fishing and was known to be one of the best. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Segers and brother in law, Randolph Segers.

Rolan is survived by his loving wife, Emmalie Bamberg; daughter, Renita Wiard and husband, Charlie of Moultrie, GA; grandchild, Amber Wiard Tucker and husband, Gage of Moultrie, GA; great grandchildren, Alex, Liam, and Wyat Tucker; niece, Lenora White; great niece, Latausha White; as well as a host of cousins. 

Funeral services for Rolan will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Adcock and Brother Bobby Wiard officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. 

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. 

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Chipola Family Ministries in Rolan’s name.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Southeast Health as well as Dr. Wewers for the amazing care that was provided during this time.
