Ouida B. Evans

Mrs. Ouida Beatrice Johnson Drummond Evans, age 90, of Marianna, Florida, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Mrs. Evans was born on December 6, 1933 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Reverend Lee Roy Johnson and Siddie Freeman Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Marvee Drummond and her husband of 14 years, Donald Evans; her parents, Lee Roy and Siddie Johnson; sisters, Myrtice Johnson, Lillie Pearl Seay, Mildred Lowry, Imogene Hewett and Juanita Daniel; brothers, Harold Johnson and Raymond Johnson; two grandchildren, Robert Corrigan and Michael Indingaro; one great grandchild, Corrine Russell; as well as two son-in-laws, John Corrigan and Mike Indingaro.

She is survived by her brother, Edward Johnson; five children, Linda Corrigan, Karen Watkins (James), Bobby Drummond (Lisa), Rhonda Drummond and DeDe Drummond. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly.

Mrs. Evans was a retired nurse. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and attended the Eastside Assembly of God Church for 60 years where she served as Sunday School teacher and Church Board Member at times.

Mrs. Evans had a great love for her family and friends. She used her nursing experience to care for her husbands, family and friends. She had a natural green thumb and was able to grow almost anything, enjoying her gardening as a much loved hobby.

Her beautiful smile and welcoming hugs will be greatly missed.

Funeral services for Mrs. Evans will be 10 A.M., Monday, June 3, 2024 at Eastside Assembly of God Church with Dr. Charles Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. 

The family will receive friends for a time of fellowship from 9 A.M. until the time of service at Eastside Assembly of God Church.
