Nina Goodson

Mrs. Nina Morris Goodson, age 74, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Signature Healthcare at the Courtyard.  She was a native of Jackson County, born in Chipley, Florida on July 21, 1948, to Buel and Daisy Morris.

Nina began her career in 1969 at Citizens Bank and continued in banking for 40 plus years.  She had the pleasure of working with and influencing several generations during her banking career.  She developed long-lasting friendships whom she considered family.  She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and Nonny.    Nina enjoyed reading, caring for animals and spending time with her grandchildren.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 52 years, James H. Goodson and daughter, Jana Goodson Baggett.

She is survived by daughters, Wendy Cooper (Thomas) of Austin, Texas, Lori Harris of Chipley, Florida; granddaughters, Haleigh Cooper of Dallas, Texas, Abbi Rushing of Dothan, Alabama, and Hilary Tice (Andrew) of Round Rock, Texas; grandson, Sam Baggett of Marianna, Florida; brother, Robert See (Darlene) of Sevierville, Tennessee.  She is also survived by several sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family members.

A memorial service for Nina will be 2 P.M. Monday, December 5, 2022 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Rabon officiating. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Marianna Chapel Funeral home.
