Nettie Louise Hill

Nettie Louise Hill, age 82, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Jackson Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Louise was born on February 16, 1941 in Savannah, GA to the late William Bill Dean and Francis Harkins. She received her Bachelors in Nursing from Brenau College as well as her Bachelors in Psychology. Louise served as an RN for over 20 years. She moved to Jackson County in 1966, where she worked at Jackson Hospital. Louise loved to serve at her church and spend time with her family.  

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Harkins and William Bill Dean; husband, Gerald Frank Hill, Sr.; son, Michael Shane Hill; daughter, Teresa Dianne Adams, and sister, Pat Gibbs. 

She is survived by her sons, Gerald Frank “Gator” Hill, Jr., and wife, Petra of Panama City, FL, Jamie Lynn Hill of Cottondale, FL and Charles Sterling Hill of the Kynesville Community; brothers, William Perian Dean, Jr. of Gainesville, GA and John Anthony Dean also of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Bryan and Brandon Harris, Chelsea Hill, Austin and Alyssa Hill, Brady Hill, Savannah Hill, Blake Hill and Sebastian Moseley as well as one great grandchild, Aviana Hill. 

Funeral services will be 2 P.M., Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Hollis officiating. Interment will follow in the Damascus Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. 

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1 P.M. until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
