Nelson Reynolds

Nelson Reynolds, age 88, of Greenwood, FL, previously of Chattahoochee, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at his residence while surrounded by his loving family.

Nelson was born in Clay County, AL on August 31, 1933 to the late Garfield and Leola Reynols. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany, where he met his wife, Ingrid. Nelson learned to be a machinist in the Army and carried on these skills throughout his life. He was extremely skilled and detailed in his work and was proud of his machine shop that he built at his home. Nelson was of the Methodist Faith and enjoyed fishing, wood working and sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Garfield and Leola Sprayberry Reynolds; son, Karl Reynolds; three brothers, Troy, James and Lowell Reynolds; four sisters, Mavis and Marie Reynolds, Ester Vandever and Ernestine Meddlen.

Nelson is survived by his loving wife, Ingrid Reynolds; two sons, Reiner Reynolds and wife, Julie of Wentzville, MO and Harald Reynolds of Enterprise, AL; daughters, Gwen Welch and husband, Steve of Greenwood, FL, and Heidi Reynolds of Tallahassee, FL; six grandchildren, Steven Welch (Kelsey), Brandon Welch (Ashley), Kayla Warren (Kevin), Eric, Kara and Cole Reynolds; along with five great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022 in Montgomery Memorial Cemetery in Montgomery, AL, with Steven Welch and Steve Welch officiating. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home will be directing.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
