Michael "Mike" Stephen Hathaway

Michael “Mike” Stephen Hathaway, age 64, of Marianna, FL passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at his residence.

Mike was born on August 20, 1959, in Blountstown, FL to the late Ruby and Johnny Hathaway. Mike attended Blountstown High School in 1978 and soon after started at Glover’s Automotive where he faithfully worked for over 44 years. Mike married his wife, Martha, in Quincy, FL and were married for over 38 years. He enjoyed working on vehicles, bowling, and spending time with his beloved family whom he loved dearly.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Johnny; and uncle, Lewis Brooks.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Sarah Hathaway of Marianna, FL; son, Ronald Williams and wife, Virginia of Marianna, FL; daughters, Barbara Beach and husband, John of Quincy, FL and Crystal Gleason and husband, Ryan of Buffalo, NY; brothers, Henry Lamar, James Tirrell “JT” of Hosford, FL, Ronnie Hathaway and wife, Ginger of Hosford, FL, Johnny “Sevell” Hathaway and wife, Doris of Waycross, GA; sister, Cindy Sapp and husband, Doyle of  Maryville, TN. Survivors also include 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M., Monday, November 6, 2023 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Hill officiating.

The family will receive friends starting at 1 P.M. until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

Flowers will be accepted, or if desired, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
