Marialuz Armesto

Marialuz Armesto, age 72, of Cottondale, FL, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at her home.

Marialuz "Malu" was born March 24, 1952 in Lima, Peru. She was of the Catholic faith and took great pride in dedicating her life to humanitarian work. She was awarded the President's Lifetime Achievement Award for her volunteering with the Red Cross for three decades. She also loved spending time outdoors in her garden. She was a frequent fisherwoman and prided cooking for family and friends. Above all, she was a great story teller and truly enjoyed touching many lives. 

She is survived by her brothers, Alberto and Roberto; sisters, Marlene, Magali, Marilyn, Luzena, Mireya and Mylene; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

No services are planned at this time. Memorialization will be by cremation with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
