Margie Nell Henderson

Margie Nell Henderson, age 93, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the Courtyard Healthcare Center. 

Born on July 20, 1930 in Coosa County, Alabama.  Margie graduated from Rehobeth High School in 1948 and went on to marry her loving husband of 50 years LaDon Henderson, Sr. She was a devout Christian and beloved wife, mother and grandmother.  

Margie was preceded in death by her husband, LaDon Henderson, Sr., son, Donald Gene Henderson, and stepdaughter, Janice Patricia Ward.  

She is survived by her daughter, Debra McIlvain (Joe) of Marianna; stepson, LaDon Henderson, Jr. (Danita) of Wilmington, N.C.; grandchildren, Stephanie Barrentine (Michael), Trey Pleas (Kimberly), Elissia Brown (Daniel), Heath Henderson (Sarah), Heather Donovan (Matt), Karen Corbin (David), Karla Braxton (Yohn), Nathan Henderson (Jacey), and Amaya Henderson; twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Monday, August 28, 2023, at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Gino Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Chipley, FL with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
