Luke Smith

David Luther “Luke” Smith, age 21, of Alford, FL, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at his residence.

Luke was born February 12, 2000 and was a life long resident of Jackson County, FL. He was employed with K&W Lawn Care. Luke had  an infectious laugh that would light up a room and a smile that was comforting. Luke enjoyed being there for others whether it was giving one of his big bear hugs or to help anyway he could. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, riding in his uncles truck, having a good time anyway possible, and spending time with his family. Luke will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Kevin Moore Welch.

Luke is survived by his parents, Kenneth Wayne Scott of Bonifay, FL, and Jennifer Lynn Smith and fiancé, David Stoker of Marianna, FL; brothers, Ryan Champion of Alford and James Vinson of Marianna; sister, Haley Vinson of Marianna; maternal grandparents, Kevin and Kathryn Welch of Cottondale, FL, and Robert Warren Smith, Sr. of Bonifay, FL; paternal grandparents, Kenneth W. Scott and Malissa Burnham of Bonifay, FL; aunts and uncles, Bryan Welch, Robert Smith, JR., Monica Welch, Monica Smith, Cassie Smith, Ashley Smith as well as eight cousins. 

Funeral services for Luke will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2021 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Pearce officiating. Burial will follow in Alford City Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. 

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 9 am until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
