Lois Marie Baxley

Lois Marie Baxley, age 87, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Jackson Hospital.

Marie attended Bethlehem Baptist Church for many years before attending New Salem Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, traveling to different areas to visit children and family and always loved just going out of the house for a ride. She cherished her special bond with her sister-in-law, Merlene Parmer and her longtime friendship with the Willie Melvin family.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny B. Baxley; son, Jimmy Baxley and son-in-law, David Kent. 

She is survived by two sons, Johnny Wayne and wife, Gayle, Billy Baxley and wife, Janet all of Marianna; daughter, Barbara Kent of Columbus, GA; daughter-in-law, Cathy Baxley of Marianna; twelve grandchildren, Ted Burdeshaw (Barbie), Crystal Spears (Michael), Micheal Baxley, Jefferey Baxley (Felecia), Jennifer Long (Cody), Heather Spurlock, Crystal Spurlock, Danny Kent, John Kent (Angela), Marc Kent (Rebekah), Austin Baxley, Emily Harris (Tyler); and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 A.M., Friday, November 25, 2022 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Woodruff officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. 

The family will receive friends from 9 A.M. until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
