Linnie H. Dilmore

Linnie H. Dilmore, age 90, of Cottondale, Florida passed away peacefully at the Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, November 18, 2024.

Linnie was born February 22, 1934, to the late James and Martha Hallman. She was a lifelong resident of Cottondale, FL and spent 56 years with the love of her life, Willard D. Dilmore, Sr., until his passing in 2006. Linnie enjoyed gardening and fishing and had a great passion for sewing and crocheting, as she was a sewing machine operator for Westpoint Stevens for many years. Linnie's dedication to her family was a priority in life. Anytime Linnie was able, she would cook a large home cooked meal and have family gatherings. Linnie was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Salem Free Will Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; as well as her daughter, Martha Lovins and sister, Lorene Watson.

Linnie is survived by her two sons, Willard “Dan” Dilmore, Jr. and wife, Brenda, and Wilson "Bud" Dilmore and wife, Dana; daughter, Susan Winslett and husband, John; grandchildren, Troja Griffin, Jamie Burdeshaw (Stephanie), Christopher Swindle, Clay Dilmore (Rebecca), Stephanie Hill (Robert), Brittney Orshall (Derek), and Lindie Dilmore; 8 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Salem Free Will Baptist Church with Reverends Donnie Hussey and Gino Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends for viewing and visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
