Lettie P. Worley

Lettie P. Worley, age 86, of Alford, FL, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center. 

Lettie was born November 17, 1937 to Taft and Vera Mae Lairmore. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and retired from Winn-Dixie. She loved Gospel Music and would attend as many quartets and gospel sings as possible. When her health was better, she attended First Assembly of God Church in Cottondale. Lettie was a devout Christian and is now in the presence of her Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Taft and Vera Lairmore; her husband, Lou Worley; brother, Gene Lairmore; and father of her son, William Braxton.

Lettie is survived by her son, Michael Braxton and wife, Stacy; brothers, Rex Lairmore and Lee Lairmore; sisters, Bobbie Rogers and Diane Lairmore; grandchildren, Wyatt, Caleb, Brandon, Madisyn, Briella, Railyn, and Tamen Braxton; great grandchild, Isabella Braxton; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Graveside funeral services will be 12:00 Noon on Monday, May 20, 2024 in the Cottondale First Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Kerry Kizer officiating and Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
