Lester Wiertz

Lester Wiertz, age 82, of Greenwood, FL passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at his residence.

Lester was born on October 30, 1941 in Paterson, NJ to the late Lena and Harry Wiertz. In 1958, Lester enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 17, as a Submarine Detection Specialist. The same year, Lester wedded Mary, and they were together for 43 years before she passed. Later, Lester met Suzanne and they married in 2014. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and flying RC planes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary.

Lester is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Suzanne Marie Wiertz.

Memorialization will be by cremation with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
