Leslie M. Crutchfield

Leslie M. “Les” Crutchfield age 82, of Marianna, FL passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. 

Les was born in Chipley, FL on January 7, 1940, to the late Melvin and Velma Crutchfield. He graduated from Chipley High School. He then became employed with the State of Florida as a Florida Fish and Wildlife Officer. After a 17-year career as game warden, Les retired and opened Video’s Unlimited in Bonifay, Florida. After closing the video shop, Les went back to work for the State of Florida as an investigator with the Public Defender’s Office, which he retired from. He loved spending time with his family more than anything and will be dearly missed.

Les was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Carolyn Virginia Crutchfield; parents and sister, Elnora Griffin.

He is survived by his daughter, Leslie Porter and Husband, Al of Marianna, FL; grandchildren, Kelsey Lynn Shuler and husband, Jonathan “Kendel” Shuler of Bristol, FL, Shelley Paige Dryden of Pensacola, FL as well as one great granddaughter, Layken Rae Shuler.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M., Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with John Sims officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until the time of the service at Marianna Chapel Funeral home.
