L.N. Baggett

Mr. L.N. Baggett, age 85, of Altha, FL, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at his farm “Boothill” in Altha, Florida. 

Mr. Baggett was born on December 30, 1935 in Altha to the late William King “WK” and Mattie Alday Baggett and was a lifelong resident of Altha. He was a dedicated husband to his wife, Evelyn H. Baggett. They along with his brothers, Bill and wife, Ada Mae and Bobby and wife, Linda owned and operated Baggett Brothers Farm in Altha. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bill, Bobby, Pete, and Ellis Baggett; sisters, Bonnie Sue Baggett, Fronie Adkins, Nancy Pierce, Mary Sewell, Candice Burke, Irene Stanley, Ninva Grooms, and Dorothy Bethel.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Baggett of Altha; three sons, Richard Baggett and wife, Starla of Marianna, Ferlon Baggett and wife, Robbin of Clarksville, and Russell Baggett of Altha; grandchildren, Dustin Stevens of Marianna, Whitney Stevens Cox and husband, Shack of Marianna, Breanna Walker Weeks and husband, Tyler of Sneads, Shayn Baggett of Marianna, Cherie Baggett Shuler and husband, Ronie of Anderson, SC, Everett Baggett and wife, Brittany of Altha, Ashton Baggett and wife, Ciara of Cottondale, and Justin and Joshua Taylor of Gainesville. He is also survived by great grandsons, Brody Baggett, Sawyer Baggett, Grayson Cox, and Hampton Cox. great granddaughters, Avery Claire Carmichael, Lily Baggett, and Stella Baggett; along with a host of nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services for Mr. Baggett will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Altha Church of God with Reverend Allan Nichols officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. at the church. 

Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery in Altha, FL with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Olive Cemetery Committee for care and maintenance of the cemetery at 16481 NE Hanna Tower Rd. Altha, FL 32421.
