Kenneth Wayne Weeks, age 57, of Altha, FL, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023.

Wayne was born in Ocala, FL on May 9, 1965 to the late Dorothy and Willie Weeks. Wayne graduated from Ocala High School in 1983. Soon after, Wayne moved to Marianna where he began working at the North Florida Dolomite Plant. He met Kristie in 1995 and after two years of dating, they married in 1997. Wayne began his new career working for Joel Yon Trucking where he was a great mechanic and equipment operator for 26 years. He loved fishing, hunting, being in the outdoors and Florida State Football, “Go Noles”.  He was a simple, hardworking, good man that dearly loved his family. 

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kristie Weeks of Altha, FL; sister, Karen Lay and husband, Tony of Two Egg, FL; aunts, Kathleen Thomas, Juanita Singletary and Janet Williams; brother in-law, Ronnie and wife, Kim of Donaldsonville, GA and brother-in-law, David Hall of Jacksonville, FL; nieces and nephews, Patrick and Rachel Melvin of Donaldsonville, GA, Jackie Johnson and Nicole Johnson of Two Egg, FL; cousins, Pam and husband, Bobby of Altha, FL, Wynette Glover of Greenville, FL; his best friend, Aaron Lambeth as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and truck drivers that worked with Wayne.

Graveside funeral services will 3 P.M. Monday, April 10, 2023 in Cypress Cemetery with Pastor Charles Coley officiating and Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
