Keith Perkins

Gregory “Keith” Perkins, age 45, of Grand Ridge, FL, passed away on September 2, 2021 at Jackson Hospital. Keith was born June 19, 1976 in Chipley, FL to Roger Dale Baxter and Janice Perkins Baxter.
 
Keith worked for the State of Florida as a Correctional Officer for over 15 years. He was extremely creative and enjoyed painting and doing crafts. It brought him great joy sharing his art with others, making people laugh, and giving big bear hugs. Above all else, Keith was a great son and father who loved spending time with his family.

He loved tattoos and had too many to count, much to his mother’s dismay. He was a huge fan of legos, Star Wars, and reptiles. He enjoyed fishing, seafood, and movie nights with his kids. He had a big heart and a beautiful mind. His favorite people were his mama and his children. He loved them more than words can explain. He was so very loved and will be missed beyond measure. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Faye and Monroe Perkins; great grandparents, Margaret and Riley Hodges; and best friend, Jason.
 
Keith is survived by his children, Chloe Perkins, Dawson Perkins both of Greenwood, Connor Perkins of Malone, and step daughter, Alissa Stant; parents, Roger and Janice Baxter; sisters, Jonna Aydelotte of Marianna, Jenny Ridley of Ohio, and Brittany Baxter of Alaska; aunts, Freta Williams and Beverly Ransom.
 
Funeral services for Keith will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with David Hodges officiating.
 
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
