Katherine "Trinka" Ann Sandifer

Katherine “Trinka” Ann Sandifer, age 89, of Atlanta, GA passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Corso Atlanta. 

Trinka was born on January 1, 1935 in Boise, Idaho to the late Alma and Mike Lukas. Trinka resided in Marianna for over 45 years and was an active and devoted member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also active on the board of the Chipola Regional Arts, Jackson Hospital Foundation and Marianna Mainstreet. Trinka loved to travel, read, and watch Florida State football. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 31 years, Cecil W. Sandifer; and her brother, Robert Lukas. 

Trinka is survived by her son, Brett Sandifer and wife, Stacey of Smyrna, GA. 

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. 

Trinka will be laid to rest next to her husband, Cecil, following a private service in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum, with Reverend Dr. Nathan Attwood officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 2901 Caledonia St. Marianna, FL 32446.
