Judy Dumas

Judith “Judy” Jennell Morris Dumas, age 53, of Kynesville, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at her residence. 

Judy was born in Marianna, Florida and lived most of her life in the Kynesville Community. She was a person who loved her family, and her family loved her. Her family meant everything to her and she loved them with her whole heart. She worked with Roberts, Roberts and Roberts Law Office for over 17 years. Judy considered her co-workers family and did everything she could to help them and their clients. She never met a stranger and was loved by many. She could meet someone and within an hour they were thought of as family, which led to many people calling her Mama Judy. She wanted her home to be a place where everyone felt welcomed and loved. Judy enjoyed watching Florida State Football, riding buggies, hanging out with her friends and helping people with their problems. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne “Cowboy” Morris and Willie Mae Morris. Judy is survived by her husband of 19 years, Joey Dumas; daughters, Kayla Lipford and Taylor Dumas of Kynesville; two sisters, April Scarbary (Rick) of Davie, Florida and Suzanne Donaldson (Brad) of Kynesville, Florida; mother in law, Peggy Mancill of Chipley, FL; brother in law, Michael Dumas (Lorey) of Georgia; sister in law, Nicole Dumas Eubanks of Bonifay, FL; brother in law, Robert “Robbie” Mancill (Teresa) of Jacksonville, FL; nieces and nephews, Kendra Dumas, Bradley Goodson, Danny Dumas, Leslie Goodson, Madison Mancill, Lauren Dumas, Chase Harris, Ty Harris, Kaleb Mancill, Bailey Donaldson, Danica Dumas, Emma Mancill and Booker Donaldson; honorary brother, Ricky Strickland and honorary sister, Angie Lashley; along with a host of adopted children and close friends. 

Funeral Services will be 2 P.M., Friday September 29, 2023 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Joey Woodruff, Tony Pumphrey and John Young Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

Those serving as pallbearers will be: Scott Jackson, Scotty Lewis, Tony Manship, Chris Morris, Tyler Morris and Danny Tijerina.
