Johnnie Robert Dehart, age 78, of Alford, Florida passed from this life on January 15, 2025. Born on December 16, 1946, in Shooting Creek, North Carolina, Johnnie's journey through life was marked by courage, joy, and an unwavering love for those around him. Johnnie proudly served his country in the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Army.
Johnnie received an Associate degree from Guilford Technical Community College before working for Baker Furniture Company where he crafted specialty furniture. Johnnie loved saltwater fishing and bowling, in which he earned a place in the Bowling Hall of Fame. Johnnie's legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know him.
A devoted family man, Johnnie is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Donna Dehart; his son’s, Robert S. Dehart, Johnnie S. Dehart, Lee Turner and Richard Turner; his daughter, Terri Pish; brothers, Gerald Dehart, Andy Dehart and Tony Dehart; sisters, Linda Walton and Brenda Mincey; nieces, Lenore Coleman and Christie Mickey; nephews, Michael Walton, Bill Mincey and Jeff Dehart; grandchildren, Sean, Kadence, Haven, Aiden, Johnnie, Riley, Cheyenne.
A memorial service will be 8:30 A.M. Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Compass Lake Bible Community Church with Reverend Jim Harbert officiating. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
