Jo Murl McDaniel

Josephine Murl McDaniel, 79, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2020 in Cottondale, FL with her family by her side. Jo Murl was born to Edward McDaniel and Carrie (Cobb) McDaniel, October 17, 1940, in Graceville, FL. She graduated from Campbellton High School in 1960.  She loved to cook, but most of all loved her family. Her tender heart was always open for someone who needed motherly affection.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Harvey McDaniel, Eugene McDaniel, Wendell McDaniel, Edward McDaniel, Jim McDaniel, Randall McDaniel, James McDaniel, Graham McDaniel and her sister, Vera McDaniel.   Jo Murl is survived by her son, Robert “Bobby” McDaniel (Teresa) of Cottondale, FL, and three granddaughters, Taylor, Madison and Hunter McDaniel, of Cottondale, FL.  She is survived by her three sisters, Era Knizley of Cottondale, FL, Mary Williams (Marvel) of Graceville, FL and Edna Whitehead (Donnell) of Cottondale, FL and four brothers, Johnny McDaniel (Pat) of Campbelltown, FL, David McDaniel (Marlene) of Graceville, FL, Walter McDaniel (Debbie) of Bonita Springs, FL and Lamar McDaniel (Linda) of Cottondale, FL.   She is also survived by 39 nieces and nephews and several cousins. The family would like to say a special thank you to Amanda Trino, for her assistance during this special time.

Services for Jo Murl will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 30, 2020 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. James Lamb and  Pastor Gene Morris officiating.  Interment will follow in Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church Cemetery in Cottondale. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of service.
