JoAnn M. (Murkerson) Earnest

JoAnn Earnest age 83 of Wewahitchka, FL passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in Panama City.

JoAnn was born on September 10, 1936 to the late Arthur and Alma Neal (Faircloth) Murkerson. She has been a resident of Wewahitchka for the past twenty years coming from Springfield, FL.  JoAnn loved sports, enjoyed crocheting, fishing, and hunting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Garry Harrold Earnest, and one brother A.J. Murkerson.

JoAnn is survived by her husband Harold Curtis Earnest  of Wewahitchka, daughter Cynthia Alisa Earnest of Wewahitchka, brother Ray Murkerson and wife Pam of Donalsonville, GA, sister-in-law Chris Morris of Bushnell, FL  four grandchildren Shanna Dunlap and husband Keith, Shaun Earnest and wife Amanda, Jason Earnest and wife Katee, and MaKayla Cantrell and husband Michael, six great grandchildren Andrew, Eli, Emma, Ella, Spencer, and Caitlyn, two great-great grandchildren Bentlee and Layn. She is also survived by two aunts Maudie Earnest of Okeechobee, FL and Frances Gilbert of Panama City, FL, and her special friend Dorothy Ziglar.

Services for JoAnn will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 22, 2019 in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Panama City with Rev. Donnie Jackson, and Rev. Craig Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Buckhorn Cemetery in Wewahitchka. Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.
