Jimmie Earl Tharp

Jimmie Earl Tharp, age 82, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the Chipola Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Jimmie was born on July 4, 1941 in Dothan, AL. He was the son of the late, Angus and Bonsie Foulk Tharp and was raised earning a honest living on the farm. Jimmie loved growing watermelons and peanuts. He was known for his peanut stand where he had some of the best boiled peanuts around. Jimmie was a very humble man and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He loved the Lord greatly and would share his faith with others when he had the opportunity.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Tharp. He leaves behind his special friends, Phil Waldron and wife, Patricia, Daniel Register and Elizabeth Ryan.

Graveside funeral services will be 2 P.M. Monday, January 29, 2024 in the Alford City Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
