Jennifer Lyn Dixson

Jennifer Lyn Dixson, age 60, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025 at her residence.

Jennifer was born on August 8, 1964 and was raised in Greenwood, FL. She was a graduate of Marianna High School before attending Chipola College and transferring to Gulf Coast Community College. During her time in Bay County, she worked at the Treasure Ship for numerous years. After returning to Jackson County, Jennifer worked as a Correctional Officer at ACI and retired from security at Florida State Hospital after several years of service. In her younger years, Jennifer enjoyed playing softball with her sister, Shirley.  
She also enjoyed relaxing at home and visiting with friends and family after her retirement. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elaine and Marvin Dixson; brothers, Michael Dixson and Keith Dixson as well as her one sister, Shirley Weaver.

Jennifer is survived by her niece, whom she considered her  own daughter, Jamie Norris and husband, Blake of Blountstown, FL as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved dog, Brownie. 

Services will be private with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. Interment will take place at Greenwood Baptist Church Cemetery.
