Jennie M. Lerch

Jennie Lerch, age 77, of the Lovedale Community passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 peacefully at Flowers Hospital.

Jennie was born on August 17, 1947, to the late Leon and Elsie Jones.  Jennie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Richard E. Lerch; parents, Leon and Elsie Jones; father-in-law, Howard Lerch; mother-in-law, Ida Lerch; and special family friend, Heather Brogdon.  

She is survived by her daughter, Deena Howell and husband, Eric of Sneads, FL; son, Rick Lerch and wife, Nancy of Tracy California; grandson, Trevor Howell and wife, Summer of Lovedale, FL; granddaughter, Christen Ferguson and husband, Cody of Greenwood, FL; great grandchildren, Charles Howell, Addison Howell, Bryar Howell, Luke Ferguson, Riley Ferguson, Addison Renfroe, and JJ Renfroe; sister, Violet Bozemen and husband, John of Lovedale, FL; brother, Perry Garland Jones and wife, Linda of Ladson, SC; brother, Ted Jones and wife, Dotti of Swainsboro, GA; brother, Leon Jones and wife , Debbie of Wetumpka, AL.  Survivors also include special family friends Stephanie McPherson and husband, Jeff and their son Jacob, Nora Galbreath, Vicki Williams, Cathy and Marc Tyus, Jess Nabors and sons, Jayden and Austen.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Lovedale Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Steve Canada officiating. Interment will follow in Lovedale Baptist Church where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Richard. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home will be directing.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Lovedale Baptist Church.

Those serving as pallbearers will be: Willy Shannon, Jeff Pittman, Dan Layton, Ed Helms, Jayden Davis, Austen Davis, Marc Tyus and AJ Virgen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lovedale Baptist Church, 6595 Lovedale Rd., Greenwood, FL, 32443.
