Jean Carolyn Davis

Jean Carolyn Davis, age 72, of Cottondale, FL, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Chipola Health and Rehabilitation Center with her loving family by her side. 

Jean was born on May 11, 1952 in Nashville, GA to the late Cleveland and Blannie Barder Bush. Jean received her Certificate of Ministry from the West Florida Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God. She was a member at Friendship Assembly in Cottondale where she taught Sunday school for many years. She currently attended Grace Fellowship Christian Church in Bonifay. Jean made many mission trips to Moldova and had a heart for serving others. She was a beloved part of her family and she will be greatly missed. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Billy Bush.

Jean is survived by her two sons, Jerry Davis of Marianna, FL and Joseph Davis and wife, Destiny of Chipley, FL; three daughters, Jean Stephens of Cottondale, FL, Leigh May and husband, Daniel of Vernon, FL, Norma Minella of Blountstown, FL; brothers, Jerry Bush and wife, Pam of West Virginia, Randy Bush and James Bush both of Georgia; sisters, Mary Locklear of Georgia, Judy Stanaland of Florida, Ellen Culpepper of Georgia, Teresa Dalafave of Florida, Darlene Kucksdork and husband, Les of Wisconsin as well as her beloved grandchildren, Josh “Honey” May (Jordan), Anthony Minella, Kitana Passmore (Justin), Jonathan Minella, Tyler Stephens (Hailey), Courtney Parramore (Shelby), Mark May, Jesse May, Jacob May, Ronnie May, and Ethan Stadie as well as eight great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be 2 P.M., Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor John Broome officiating. Interment will follow in the Cottondale First Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1 P.M., until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
