Jaylynn L. Jordan

Jaylynn Lashay Renee Jordan, 14, of Altha, FL, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021.

She was the sweetest soul that you have ever met. A natural momma, she was always trying to mother everyone that was around her. Jaylynn was friendly, kind, quiet, and meek. She was always advocating to be better, and had her own dreams and goals to pursue. I truly believe she was an angel on earth. Jaylynn came to grace us all with knowing her; then God took his angel home. Her family and friends will truly miss her. We will never forget the impact she had on all of us. When Jaylynn was born, I was the happiest dad alive. God sent me an angel. At two years old we dedicated her back to God. I didn’t know at the time I would only have twelve years to have her. She has touched so many people and was a true light. She will always be my angel.

Jaylynn was preceded in death by her grandmother, Renee Jordan and great grandfather, Wayne Allen.

She is survived by her parents, Rufus A. Jordan, Jr. and Tammie Lynn Settle Jordan; brother, Malachi Martin Mcarter; sisters, Kaya, Alexis, Zoey, Alley, and Kylynn; grandparents, Tina Morrow of Altha, Timothy Settle (Maria) of Frankfort, KY, and Rufus A. Jordan, Sr. of Milton, FL; great grandparents, Batsy Allen of Milton, FL, Judy Allen of Mobile, AL, and John Morrow (Marcia) of Mulberry, FL; aunts, Victoria Jordan (Kevin), and Crystal all of Milton, FL, Teela Settle (Davis) of Frankfort, KY; uncles, Wayne “Bubba” Allen of Mobile, AL and Chris Gilmore (Tera); along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2 o’clock Friday, April 2, 2021 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Leavins officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 1 o’clock until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
