Jason Nathaniel Kinsey

Jason Nathaniel Kinsey “Jay”, age 50, of Sneads, Florida, passed away suddenly on the morning of October 26, 2023. Jay was a bright star in this often difficult world and will be missed by many friends and family members. We are utterly unprepared for this unexpected loss and miss Jay greatly.

Jay was born on May 24, 1973. He is survived by his loving wife, Alicia Kinsey; sons, Jonathan (Hallee) Kinsey and Jackson (Landry) Kinsey of Thomasville, GA; stepsons, Austin (Jade) Wright, Alex Baxter and Kaden Baxter of Sneads, FL; brother, Jamie Kinsey of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Jayce and Ava Kinsey of Thomasville, GA, and Bentley and Ansley Wright of Sneads, FL; niece, Jadyn Kinsey and nephew, Jaret Kinsey of Tallahassee, FL.

Jay was predeceased by his father, Jimmy Kinsey and grandparents, James and JoAnn Kinsey.

Jay graduated from Aucilla Christian Academy in 1991. He was a craftsman and a very talented painter. He enjoyed the outdoors, anything from water skiing to hunting. Jay was passionate about marine life and had a particular interest and love for sharks.  Jay was a founding member of the Florida Melody Boys quartet. He was passionate about singing the gospels with his beloved friends and spreading the word of God through music. Jay would often channel his love for Christ into the writings of his songs.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 12 p.m. CST at Sneads Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Jimmy Wright officiating. Visitation will start at 11:00 a.m. CST at the church. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home will be directing.
