Jacob "Jake" Wayne Morris, Sr. was born in Amarillo, TX, on April 4, 1981, and brought joy and warmth into the lives of those around him for 43 years until his passing in Cottondale, FL on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Jake, a man of determination and diligence, dedicated many years of service as a delivery man at SRS Distribution in South Dakota. With his move to Florida, he further showcased his commitment to excellence at Anderson Columbia, where he worked in quality control. His work ethic was matched only by the passion he had for his interests.
Outside of his professional achievements, Jake was a man who thrived amidst the serenity of the outdoors. He relished in camping trips, fishing excursions, and tending to his garden. A lover of history and classic cars, he also found his greatest joy in the simplest of pleasures, being with his wife and children. Jake had a strong faith in God and enjoyed serving as a Sunday school teacher and being a member of Pinnacle Church.
Jake was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jerry Morris and Damaris Morris.
His steadfast character and loving heart would eventually spread its canopy to shelter his own family in Cottondale. His spirit is carried on by his devoted wife, Heather Elizabeth Morris; sons, Jacob Wayne Morris, Jr., and Lincoln Alexander Morris; daughter, Grace Elizabeth Morris; and brother, Joshua Morris and wife, Crystal, and their children, Cameron, Parker, and Ryley Morris.
A memorial service will be 11 A.M., Saturday, February 8, 2025 at The Pinnacle Church with Pastor Tracey Boggs officiating.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10 A.M. until the time of the service at The Pinnacle Church. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
