Helen T. VanHuss

Helen T. VanHuss, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Decmember 4, 2022 at Marianna Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Helen resided in Marianna, FL, with her husband and love of her life, Estill Ray VanHuss. Helen was born in Savannah, GA, to the late Walter Charles Theile and Ethel Rogers Theile. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife and friend. Helen was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marianna and enjoyed the fellowship of her peers. She was an avid reader, loved her cats, took pleasure in traveling and was fond of a nice glass of wine at night. 

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Charles and Ethel Rogers Theile; and her son, Walter David Eason. 

She is survived by her husband, Estill Ray VanHuss of Marianna, FL; her son, Dr. Carl Page Eason and wife Stephanie of Suwannee, FL; her stepson, Michael VanHuss and wife Kelly of Marianna, FL; and grandchildren, Sydney Eason of Chielfland, FL, Morgan Eason of St. Petersburg, FL, Quaid VanHuss, Brolin VanHuss, and Nevin VanHuss all of Marianna, FL.   

A memorial service for Helen will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Attwood officiating. 

The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Partners for Pets in Marianna, FL.
