Gracie Taylor Obituary

Gracie Taylor, age 81, of Bascom, FL., passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022 at her residence. 

Gracie was born on May 25, 1941 in St. Elizabeth, Missouri to the late Jacob Hadley Clark and Lottie Lorene Fancher Clark. She had a knack for technology and was a computer programmer for the State of Missouri for 10+ years. Gracie met the love of her life at “Grandpa’s Place”, a diner where she served over 62 years ago. Together, they built a life full of love. Gracie enjoyed gardening and watching her flowers grow. She also loved spending time with her family, golfing, camping, bowling, and all seven of her dogs. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob Hadley Clark and Lottie Lorene Fancher Clark. 

Gracie is survived by her husband of 62 years, James Taylor; her son, James Anthony Taylor and wife, Gina of Independence, Missouri; her daughter, Debbie Shivers of Lake Ozark, Missouri; her brothers, Tommy Clark of High Ridge, Missouri, and Jacob Edward Clark of Kansas City, Missouri. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jaimee Shivers, Brandon Taylor, Jaron Taylor, Jacqueline Taylor; as well as seven great grandchildren. 

There are no services planned at this time. Memorialization will be by cremation with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
