Glen Alford

Louis Glen Alford, age 62, of the Dellwood Community, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Glen loved the Lord. He was a loving father and papa and loved to be called, Papa Alford. Glen had a great sense of humor. He liked for everyone in the room to hear him talk loudly and had a great ability to make people smile. Glen would bring encouragement and joy to those he was around and was a ray of sunshine to so many people! When he got so excited, he would always say he was tickled pink. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hayes and Erma Alford.

Glen leaves behind two daughters, Ashley Alford Fox and husband, Jimmy, Brittany Alford Bright (Chad); son, Kent Alford; step-daughter, Trina Griffin; two sisters, Hilda Alday and husband, Carey, and Carol Alford; brother, Kyle Alford and wife, Becky; grandchildren, James and Abigail Fox, Luke and Emmalynn Bright; step grandson, Torey Griffin and step-grand daughter, Timberly Griffin, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Welcome Assembly of God Church with Reverends Kyle Alford and Clinton Hobbs officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends for viewing and visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Welcome Assembly of God Church Benevolence Fund.
