Franklin "Lin" Blackburn Jr.

Franklin “Lin” Blackburn Jr. age 57 of Cottondale passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at his home. He was born in Marianna on July 3, 1962 and spent most of his life in Jackson County.Lin enjoyed boating, riding motorcycles, going to flea markets, and he was of the Assembly of God faith.

 He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Blackburn Sr.; one sister, Kimberly Blackburn Mozley; maternal grandparents, Austin and Florene Wise.

Lin is survived by his wife, Debbie Blackburn; mother, Serena Wise Lee; two sons, Lee Blackburn and Frankie Blackburn; stepdaughter, Jennifer Bass; stepbrother, Wally Lee; stepsister, Sarita Wells; grandchildren, Natalie, Rebecca, Julie, Dylan, and Austin.

 In consideration of community health and public safety due to the COVID 19 Virus, a private family graveside service will be held at Cottondale First Assembly of God Cemetery on Friday, April 3, 2020 with Pastor Chris Franklin officiating.  

Serving as pallbearers are James Melvin, John Melvin, Dylan Arnold, Austin Arnold, Butch Wise, and Michael Brown.

 Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
