Eugene "Gene" Moore

Eugene “Gene” Victor Moore, age 67, of Marianna, Florida, died Saturday, August 26, 2023 at his home in Marianna.

Eugene was born April 9, 1956, in Plainview, Texas, to Willard and Bette Moore. He enjoyed working at the ARC in Fort Walton and in Marianna. Gene loved Elvis and watching the Rifleman.  

Eugene is survived by his sister, Munch of Defuniak; brother, Willard (Nancy) of Fort Walton; brother, Gary (Annette) of Fort Walton; brother, Jesse (Lana) of Marianna, and several nieces and nephews.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Bette Moore. After the death of his father in 2002, Eugene moved in with Jesse and Lana Moore, his brother and sister-in-law. He was very grateful to Lana for caring for him over the years, and as his illness progressed, he was extremely thankful that she quit her job to care for him full-time.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10 A.M. Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Beal Memorial Cemetery in Fort Walton Beach, Florida with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
