Elaine Q. Dixson

Elaine Q. Dixson, age 87, of Greenwood, FL, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center.

Elaine was born in Truman, Minnesota on October 30, 1934. She received her Bachelors in Nursing while in Chicago, IL, and carried her skills and passion for nursing to Sunland. After retirement from Sunland, she would spend a majority of her time at the beach house in Port St. Joe and spending quality time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Eugene Dixson; two sons, Michael Eugene Dixson and Keith Alan Dixson; daughter, Shirley Dixson Weaver; parents, Fred and Esther Voght Quindel; brother, Gerald Quindel; and granddaughter, Mindi Dixson. 

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Dixson of Marianna; brother, Larry Quindel and wife, Darlene; sister, Carolyn Curry all of Minnesota; grandchildren, Jamie Norris and husband, Blake of Blountstown, Jahn Jones and husband, Bryan of Kinard, Megan Kay and husband, Bobby of Greenwood, Mason Dixson and wife, Frances of Malone, Chelsea, Sierra and Colton Dixson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be private and at a later date. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
