Earma Jo Hendrix

Earma Jo Hendrix, age 77, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Jackson Hospital. 

Earma was born on September 22, 1947 in Round Lake, FL to the late Arthur and Eva Jewel Mayo. Earma married the love of her life, Willard Hendrix, in 1966 and was married for over 58 years before his passing in 2024. She considered the greatest accomplishments in life was raising her sons, whom she loved dearly. In her free time, Earma enjoyed sewing, spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Millard Gay. 

Earma is survived by her two sons, William Hendrix and wife, Nancy, and Timothy “Tim” Hendrix both of Marianna, FL; brothers, Alfred Gay and wife, Debbie of Round Lake, FL, Eddie Mayo of Round Lake, FL; sister, Janet Stokes of Round Lake, FL; three grandchildren, Chasitie Hallman (Tyler), Tessa Hendrix and Jared Hendrix as well as two great grandchildren, Brocktyn Hallman and Berklee Hallman.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M., Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Freddie Foran officiating. Interment will follow in Round Lake Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for a time of fellowship from 10 A.M., until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

Those serving as pallbearers include: Gable Hinson, Nathan Shumaker, John Gross, Steve Gross, Donnie Mayo and Joe Sizemore.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Lambe Family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
