Dorothy Kight Obituary

Dorothy L. Kight, age 90 of Alford passed away at Chipola Health and Rehabilitation Center on Friday, May 1, 2020. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 21, 1929. Dorothy moved to Alford thirty-seven years ago from Las Vegas, Nevada and was of the Assembly of God faith. She was a member of The Red Hat Society and was very involved with the PTA during her children’s schooling. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and needle point.

She was preceded in death by her Father Franklin Glennan, her adopted father Paul Walker and her mother Evelyn Sullivan; one daughter, Nina Kight Thomas; son n law, Bill Thomas; daughter n law, Cheryl Kight and one brother, Richard Walker.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Phillip Kight; daughter, Gina Johnson (Steven); two sons, Martin Kight and Roy Kight (Jamie); ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Marianna Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorialization will be cremation.
