Dennis Wayne Thomas

Dennis Wayne Thomas, of the Alford Community passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 at the age of 66. 

Dennis was born on March 31, 1956 in Atlanta, GA, to the late C.L. and Mary Thomas. He married his beautiful bride, Deborah, in Donaldsonville, GA, in 1978. Together they have built a life full of love and joy. Dennis enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs, playing basketball and wrestling with his grandchildren. He is loved dearly by his family and was proud to be, “Pawpaw.”

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, C.L and Mary Thomas; his grandson, Owen Broome; and his mother-in-law, Irene Monday. 

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Deborah Thomas; children, Stephen Thomas, Samantha Thomas, and Jennifer Brock and husband, Bobby, all of Alford, FL; his brother, Michael Thomas of Temple, GA; his sister, Kathy Latham and husband, Jackie of Lithia Springs, GA. Dennis also leaves behind his grandchildren, Kenneth Thomas, Cody Thomas, Carson Alday, Caitlyn Thomas, Bailey Alday, and Makayla Monday, all of Alford, FL; and special niece, Jacqueline Turner of Marianna, FL. 

Funeral services for Dennis will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor James Barwick officiating. Interment will follow in the Blakely Cemetery in Blakely, GA with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. 

The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
