Danny Kent

Daniel "Danny" Nickelton Kent, a beloved son, brother, and father, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 in Junction City, GA.

Danny was born January 11, 1977 to David Nickelton Kent and Barbara Baxley Kent. He joined the United States Coast Guard after graduating from High School. After his service, Danny applied his skills as a carpenter, where his meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship were evident in every project he undertook.

Danny loved hunting and fishing. He relished the tranquility of nature, the thrill of the hunt, and the peacefulness that came from a quiet day spent on the water. He was a man who loved the outdoors, appreciating the beauty, peace and grandeur of the woods.

Danny valued time spent with his family above all else. His love for his family was evident in the time and care he devoted to them.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, David Nickelton Kent. 

He is survived by his cherished son, Thomas Allen Henderson of Cataula, GA, whom he loved dearly and was immeasurably proud of; mother of Thomas, Rebecca Henderson; his mother, Barbara Marie Kent, of Columbus, GA; brothers, John Kent (Angela), of Yulee, FL, and Marc Kent (Rebekah), of Columbus, GA; nieces and nephews, Brett and Britney Francis, Taylor, Joshua, and Kaitlyn Kent; and great-niece, Riley Francis.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. Friday, November 17, 2023 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral services will follow at 2:30 P.M. in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Joey Woodruff officiating, Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
